In May 2006 Linda undertook the Lighting Process after 40 years of illness with M.E. It proved to be her personal miracle and since then she hasn't looked back.

Fascinated by the Lightning Process, Linda studied for two years with Phil Parker, Originator of the Lightning Process, qualifying for the Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Certified Master Practitioner Neuro-linguistic Programming and Life Coach.

Phil Parker (the founder of the Phil Parker Lightning Process) visited Swallows Retreat to meet with Dr. Michael Broughton, Consultant Specialist ME/CFS Sussex, and Colin Barton of the Sussex and Kent ME Society. They joined Linda and some of her friends for a summer barbecue in Swallows garden, looking at its best in July. Phil Parker also met thirty participants of the Lightning Process for M.E, who enjoyed the opportunity to thank him on his endless CFS/ME research on CFS/ME treatment and for the difference he has made in their lives.

Patient from Sussex County Hospital and Hurstwood Park Hospital was allowed out to do the Lightning Process at Swallows Retreat with Advanced Practitioner Linda Morgan. On Day 1 Hannah was wheelchair - bound and unable to move - even her arms - water had to be put in her mouth by her Mother. Hannah is now living a normal and very happy life with her family and friends.
